We Saw The Devil Podcast

A top-rated true crime podcast featuring solved and unsolved true crime cases.

“We Saw The Devil” is a top-rated true crime podcast with over 1.5M downloads worldwide. Their website was originally built on Wordpress, but it was difficult for them to edit and make changes to. An outdated look, cumbersome interface, and wasted time trying to edit the website inspired Robin & Jaci to reach out.

I started my design by creating a dark color palette with pops of bright red. Their website had a cool picture of a typewriter, so I found a similar stock photo and edited it in Photoshop to give it a dark, mysterious look. To bring the typewriter look together, I added a typing effect on the website that types the names of some of the most prolific cases that the podcast covers. To help the creators save time editing the website, I built an integration that automatically pulls their latest episodes directly to the website. No editing needed on their part!

What did the client say?

★★★★★

“I initially utilized WordPress to create my podcast’s website and quickly realized that it lacked substantial features and was incredibly restrictive. I could not make a website that I was proud of. Being a podcast, a website is our physical representation and extremely important to our brand. I luckily found Brittany via Squarespace. She immediately gathered my requirements and preferences and quickly provided a mock-up. I was blown away at how she inherently knew what our website needed, and even provided additional animations and options, as well as SEO. I am now happy to direct people to our website, and really cannot recommend her services enough.” - Robin
