Search Engine Optimization

There are a lot of misconceptions out there about SEO. And I wouldn’t be doing you any favors by not demystifying them right here, right now. Generally speaking, there are two types of SEO:

1.

On-page SEO

This might mean adding content to a page, tweaking page titles and descriptions, and submitting the site to Google Search Console to index. This is the (critical) first step of SEO best practices. It might be enough to give you the results you are looking for, if you are simply trying to rank for your business name or improve existing rankings. It is short-term work, and usually a one-time fee. I bill by the hour for this at $100/hr. Depending on the size of the website, I usually only need a few hours.

Does this sound like what you need?

2.

SEO Strategy

This is the real deal. It’s where the magic happens. We start this after all of your basic on-page SEO is done. An SEO strategy involves significant research and planning. It requires a strong, thought-out website that has an incredible content strategy. It is a long-term project. I have clients that I have been working with for 7 years, helping them rank for more and more keywords to push their competitors further down in Google Search Results.

When you hire me for SEO strategy, the first phase involves deep research. I need to see where your website stands compared to competitors. I want to study the search terms that have the most opportunity for traffic and conversions on your website. Once that research is completed, I will be prepared to give you a quote.

I also offer Web & SEO Consulting to clients who want expert SEO guidance, but have a team that can execute the strategy I create for them. This is a strong fit for marketing departments, small teams, or even individuals that want to learn SEO.
