A custom Squarespace website for a therapist in Colorado.
The Other Therapy was founded by Trevor Brown, a brilliant therapist that needed a website to showcase his unique approach to therapy. Trevor’s main goals: to stand out, showcase his blog posts in significant way, and streamline his scheduling process.
I started by studying Trevor’s unique approach, and one word kept coming to mind: different. Trevor is a different kind of therapist. To get the ball rolling (ha) I came up with an SVG animation idea that would emphasize the text that Trevor wrote. With each section of the homepage, a marble would navigate various obstacles. The end result? A different kind of website for a different kind of therapist.
After importing Trevor’s Wordpress blog posts to Squarespace, I created an online quiz that allows users to answer 3 questions that narrow down the blog posts to the exact readings they would benefit from the most. This accomplishes two things:
It connects users to curated content quickly (read that fast three times)
It includes the option to collect contact information, turning the blog into a lead generator in addition to an incredible resource.
Trevor’s previous scheduling tool didn’t account for multiple locations, session types, or the option to choose between Zoom or in-person appointments. By integrating his new Squarespace website with Squarespace Scheduling (previously known as Acuity Scheduling), and connecting it to another online quiz, users can quickly book the exact type of session they want and their preferred location. The end result? Trevor can send people to his website to book their appointments for an entirely automated, headache-free experience.
