A Squarespace website for an online course built for HR professional certification
HR Defined is the creation of Cari Hawthorne, an experienced HR professional with a gift for teaching and connecting with others. Cari crafted multiple online courses with Thinkific, each designed to help both aspiring and current HR professionals prepare for notoriously difficult exams. While Thinkific is an incredible platform to host online courses, it doesn’t allow for the custom website experience that Cari had in mind. She knew she needed a web design expert to bring her vision to life.
My first step was to take the time to understand the business, the different courses, and the customers who would need to figure out which course was best for their goals. This was the perfect time to implement an online quiz featuring conditional logic. The quiz would allow users to identify where their pain points are, which exams they need to prepare for, and then see the course that best matches their needs. Integration with email marketing and social media retargeting allows for additional conversion opportunities.
After defining the core call to action on the website and studying the flow of each course, I was able to put together the structure of the homepage. By increasing the saturation and contrast of the color palette, incorporating clear messaging, and adding the call to action throughout, Cari had a Squarespace website that would match the level of her Thinkific courses.
